Race Relations 2018

While it was a while ago now that we celebrated Race Relations day at Owairaka, Helen and the librarians created this wonderful display in our library.

We are very blessed to be so culturally diverse at our school. We have a lot to learn about from each other.

WORLD STORY TELLING DAY.

On Monday, Helen and a few other students celebrated WORLD STORY TELLING DAY.

                      This week, Helen and our student librarians organised two displays.

I think that these two days really compliment each other.

Green week is Sea Week

All this week, the students will be learning about our Ocean/Sea/Moana and how we can be Kaitiaki's who care for it and all that lives within it.

While the Winter Olympic Games have just finished, the Owairaka Librarian training has just begun.

Our amazing Year 6 student representatives are beginning to learn how to be a successful librarian.
