For our last week of the term, we will be celebrating Green Week. A notice went home yesterday, sharing all of the activities that will be happening next week. Come along and get involved in all that our Green Week has to offer!
Our Whare Mātauranga (library) has a lot of ngā pukapuka (books) about Green Week topics. Here are just a few of the ngā pukapuka that you can read when you visit the Whare Mātauranga.
Our focus for this Green week is Compost. We will be learning about the importance of turning food scraps into compost and how it can help our plants to grow.
It's great to see the library is ready for Green Week! I am looking forward to a fantastic week of sharing and learning.

ReplyDeleteKia ora. I hope Green Week went well. Did the students create anything that you could share on the blog? Since I started composting properly I'm so surprised (and happy) with how little waste I'm putting in the rubbish every week (in fact my all my waste from nearly three months fits in one rubbish bag).
ReplyDeleteKia ora I'm John from Room 24
ReplyDeleteI feel that protecting the environment is something everyone must do, once my grandmother told me that the Earth is getting hotter and hotter because we throw garbage everywhere.
I agree with you John. I wonder how throwing garbage away means the earth is getter hotter. What do you think?
