For Green/Blue Week this term we are learning all about sea birds. There is a lot to learn and also a lot to think about regarding how we (humans) impact the lives of sea birds.
Our Whare pukapuka has some wonderful books about our amazing native seabirds. Here is just a few. Come along at lunch times to have a read!

ReplyDelete1. Seagulls like freshwater, but they’ll drink sea water too.
2. Seagulls make nests simply by hollowing out a soft spot in the sand. They try to choose an area near grass, rocks or logs for protection.
